Academics Horst Rittel and Robert Webber describe people whose world views are either 'Tame' or 'Wicked'. Wicked people are people who encourage broad involvement and alternatives see the world as complex requiring an ability to navigate through delicate competing demands. The 'tame' approach sees the world as 'same old problems requring same old solutions' often expressed in politics as 'nuke the SOBS'. For me Obama falls into the wicked camp. Tame people percieve Wicked people as weak and indecisive. Wicked people percieve Tame people as simplistic and gung ho. Both percieved each other as 'positively dangerous'. Me? Wicked all the way!!

If one were looking at the people he had around him, I fail to see how one could be impressed. Then or now.
